Stefaan Vermuyten

Eye problems have dominated Stefaan Vermuyten's life since childhood. Yet, he is determined to become an artist. In the 1990s, he put his artistic dreams on hold and became a piano tuner, but made his comeback a few years later. His art is a patchwork of images, figures, and shadows. Flirting with abstraction is a constant in his work. Ostend is honoured to host his first mural.
