Jaune - The Baths at Ostend

Jaune is part of The Crystal Ship family. Ever since the festival’s first edition in 2016, the Brussels street artist has become a festival regular with his funny garbage collectors – eye-catching stencil work, which puts a smile on the face of every passer-by. But for the 2024 ‘Ensor edition’ of the festival, Jaune decided to take a completely different tack. The artist handpicked thirty characters from Ensor’s legendary The Baths of Ostend and went in search of thirty local inhabitants to remodel them in their image. Better still, Jaune then applied his re-imaginings of the characters to the façades of those locals – all over the city!
