Erin Holly often bases her work on historical figures who fought for a better world and turns them into poetic scenes. In Ostend, she created a subtle expressionist scene. She brightens it up with flowers, colour and abstract forms. The work is based on a photograph by Léonie La Fontaine, the Belgian pioneer in the struggle for feminism and pacifism.
