No one does what Aheneah does. The Portuguese artist translates her grandmother’s embroidery lessons onto walls. From a distance, her works look digital. Up close, you see thread, textiles, screws, and craftsmanship. She literally pieces her work together. For her mural in Ostend, eighteen thousand screws were used - with the help of volunteers.
